Things to do around Vichy
Vichy :
spa town
The city of Vichy is renowned far beyond our borders, thanks to its thermal waters, its pastilles, and its remarkable fabric. Life is good in this charming provincial town steeped in history. Strolling through the streets of Vichy, you can admire the architecture that still stands from the city's transformation during the reign of Napoleon III.
The opera house offers theater, music, and performances throughout the year. Its famous train station, transformed over the years, has finally been restored to its original appearance. The imperial chalets also remain, the most famous being the first "Villa Marie-Louise," as well as the Allier Park with its many scents, extraordinary plants, and pond. You can take a ride on the little tourist train, which offers a guided tour of Vichy, or simply explore it on your own on foot or by bicycle.
Museums and exhibitions are at your disposal, including the Opera Museum, the Valéry-Larbaud Library, and the Museum of Asian Art. Or perhaps you'd prefer to stroll through the city streets, discovering its springs or its many shops and confectioners, open seven days a week.

A river and greenery nearby
The banks of the Allier River are beautifully renovated and ready to be explored. Whether you prefer walking, jogging, cycling, or rollerblading, the choice is yours as you discover all the attractions they offer: treetop adventure courses, mini-golf, parks, and riverside cafes. Several hiking and walking trails along the river allow you to return to your starting point (including two less than 300 meters from the house). The Sources Loop, the Lake Loop, and the Isles Loop are all laid out around this greenway, allowing you to enjoy the verdant riverside setting and discover the cultural and environmental treasures of the villages you pass through.
But Vichy is not to be outdone when it comes to sports activities. There are a multitude of sports complexes capable of accommodating everyone from the casual enthusiast to the elite athlete (didn't Vichy host the American swimming team for their training during the London Olympics?...)
All the variations of water sports are here! Water skiing, rowing, windsurfing, canoeing, kayaking, jet skiing, but also, for the less adventurous, pedal boats or rides in electric boats…
Also nearby are clay tennis courts, indoor or outdoor, a bowling alley with several lanes and very close to Vichy, in Bellerive sur Allier, a water park open all year round.
Vichy, city
popular thermal spa
Nature is all around us, but canoeing down the Sioule Gorges (Aqua Canoë) will reveal an unforgettable experience. And why not enjoy a family or friends' outing on a formerly forbidden path: an old railway line! Three routes are available, ranging from 10 to 26 km, with trips lasting from 1 hour 15 minutes to 3 hours 15 minutes (Vélorail de la Sioule).
Two golf courses, the "Vichy Forêt de Montpensier" golf course and the "Sporting Club" offer a magnificent 18-hole course for amateurs or "discovery" programs for novices.
Let's not forget the Bellerive racecourse with its numerous races, including night races. Trotting, flat racing and steeplechase events are on the calendar and take place from May to September.
You can take off for a first flight or a visit to the volcanoes of Auvergne through the Vichy Charmeil Aero Club.
Not forgetting the modern thermal spas, massages and spa treatments available in the heart of the city…
Whatever the activity, whether sporting, cultural or simply for relaxation, Vichy will seduce you with its many possibilities.

Vichy by night
After a busy day, you can discover "Vichy by Night." Start in one of the city's many restaurants, then continue in a late-night bar, cabaret, or bowling alley until the early hours. And why not try your luck at the Casino?...
Many castles to visit
Located in the heart of our region, Vichy and La Passagère are at a crossroads. Whether you're traveling north to south or east to west, if the journey is too long, a stop at the house is a must for rest and relaxation. The swimming pool (in season), the grounds, and the garages are all there to help you unwind. The house itself, with its library, lounges, and billiard table, is also there to enhance your evenings by the cozy warmth of the fireplace.
The back kitchen is at your disposal for preparing a meal or reheating a dish that you can enjoy in the dining room; oven, fridge, hob, sink, Nespresso, crockery... You will also find a hypermarket 2 km from the house.
